Focus on what you have..

Complaining about things that are out of your control and cannot be changed is counterproductive.  Rather than dwelling on what you lack or cannot do, focus on what you can do.

Highlighting your abilities will enable you to see a way forward, whereas "I can't statements force you to focus on obstacles.  As the American poet James Whitcomb Riley onece quipped, "It is no use to grumble and complain;  it's just as cheap and easy to rejoice.  When God sorts out he weather and sends rain - Why, rain's my choice."

When you cannot change something, highlight the part of you that can move forward.
